Our Supporter Promise

Our Supporters Make Our Mission Possible — We Promise to Respect Your Trust

You are central to everything we do. Because the work of the St John of God Foundation relies on the generosity, commitment and confidence of our supporters, we commit to you the following:

1. We promise to treat your personal data responsibly

  • We will hold your information securely and only use it in ways that are consistent with our Privacy Policy.
  • We will not sell your data to third parties. Only where necessary (e.g. to trusted service providers) will we share data, under strong safeguards.
  • We will be transparent about how we use your information, including the lawful basis for processing and your rights under data protection law.
  • You may choose how, when, and how often you hear from us — and you can update or withdraw your communications preferences at any time.

2. We promise high standards in our fundraising

  • We will conduct all fundraising with integrity, honesty, fairness and respect.
  • We will comply with relevant fundraising standards and codes, and adopt best practice in accountability and transparency.
  • We will work only with third parties and service providers who share our high standards — and we will monitor our relationships with them.
  • Every donation you give is voluntary, and we will do our utmost to ensure that your gift is used efficiently and effectively in support of our mission.

3. We promise respect and sensitivity in our approach

  • We understand that people’s circumstances vary, and we will never pressure or coerce anyone to donate.
  • We will be especially considerate in our dealings with people in vulnerable situations.
  • We will listen to you — if you ever have questions, concerns or complaints about how we handle fundraising, we commit to addressing them swiftly, fairly and openly.

4. How to get in touch

If you want to change your communication preferences, ask about how we use your data, or discuss how we fundraise, you can contact us via:

  • Email: [email protected]
  • Postal address:
    Flavian House
    Stillorgan
    Co.Dublin
    Ireland
  • Phone: 01 913 57 00

If you feel we have not satisfactorily addressed a concern, you also have the right to escalate the matter to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland.

We are deeply grateful for your trust and support. We will never take it for granted — and we will continually strive to demonstrate transparency, accountability and respect in all we do.
