Your Legacy will support:

the little girl diagnosed with Down’s Syndrome, who needs specialist help,

the woman battling severe depression, who has nowhere to turn,

the elderly parents still caring for an adult son with intellectual disabilities and nowhere else to go; and,

the teenage boy troubled by loud noises and bright lights, who simply needs a school and education that understands him.

The process for leaving a gift in your Will is not a complicated one. By explaining some of the terms involved, we hope to simplify it further:

We recommend using a solicitor or experienced will writer for completing or updating your will.

If you are leaving a Legacy to St. John of God Foundation or any charity, the most important things to include are our name, address and charity number:

Wording for a residuary gift:

I give the residue of my estate (or I give; _____% of the residue of my estate) to St John of God, Flavian House, Stillorgan, Co.Dublin, (Republic of Ireland: Registered Charity Number (RCN) 20069841, Northern Ireland: Charity Commission for NI No. NIC 102440) for its general charitable purposes absolutely. I further direct that the receipt of the Chief Executive or other proper officer of the said charity for the time being shall be a full and sufficient discharge for the said gift.

Wording for a pecuniary gift of money or an item:

 I give the sum of £_____  to St John of God, Flavian House, Stillorgan, Co.Dublin, (Republic of Ireland: Registered Charity Number (RCN) 20069841, Northern Ireland: Charity Commission for NI No. NIC 102440) for its general charitable purposes absolutely. I further direct that the receipt of the Chief Executive or other proper officer of the said charity for the time being shall be a full and sufficient discharge for the said gift.
